YOUR QUESTIONS

Q: What is InBody Analysis?
A: InBody 720 is the world’s foremost body composition analysis device. Having received the approval of official health authorities from around the world, including FDA approval in the USA, the quality and accuracy of this equipment has been fully validated.

Q: What does InBody Analysis measure?
A: InBody 720 measures and analyses body composition in terms of: water, protein, muscle, mineral, fat and much more, rather than just measuring Body Mass Index (BMI). The device is so accurate that it can determine the weight of lean muscle tissue in each limb, water content, % body fat, mineral content, protein content and visceral fat levels (the fat surrounding the internal organs). The data is supplied via a full colour print out and our therapists are all highly trained on how to explain the results.

Q: What are the main features?

A: Body Composition

Total Body water

Protein mass

Mineral mass

Muscle Fat diagnosis – Skeletal Muscle Mass, Weight and Body Fat mass

Q: Are there any contra-indications?

A: Anyone who has an implantable electrical device such as:

Pacemaker

Defibrillator

Nerve Stimulator

Women in the first twelve weeks of pregnancy are recommended not to use this device.

Q: How can I get the most accurate results?
A: Preferably the test should be carried out on an empty stomach and bladder.

Testing should be carried out before any exercise or treatment.

Testing should not be carried out after a shower or using a sauna as sweat and heat causes a temporary change in conductivity with the body.

Subsequent testing should be carried out under similar conditions (i.e. similar clothing, testing time etc.)

Q: How much does the InBody Analysis cost?
A: The cost of having an InBody Analysis is £125. When you book in for a second analysis the cost will be at a reduced rate of £55.
